1. “Rollingolane” by Ron Flatter from Groove Circus, Vol. 11 on Wasabi Recordings.
Exorbitant music from an artist the fascinated! When he decided in 1998 to turn his skateboard into the corner and the Hip Hop largely renounce, that was probably one of his best ideas. With his energy and drive he set out to spoil the clubbers with Techhouse.
Ron Flatter is a synonym for warm, groovy techhouse & well selected melodies.
All around Europe Ron Flatter is known and respected for his passionate dj-sets full of love & interaction with his crowd…
2. “Far Away” by Lessovsky from Lazy Sundays on Tenor Recordings.
Lessovsky (Oleg Lisovskiy) is a musician and producer from the Ukraine who quickly became a remarkable name in the contemporary world of Deep House, Nu Disco and Chicago House.
His original works and remixes is an impressive fusion of emotional electronic tone with deep flavour and melodics. His recognizable signature sound is a masterful combination of noble, distinguished beats and melancholic, dusky melodies, deep analog basslines and fashionable vocal sketches.
Debut appearance of Oleg on the global electronic dance music scene as a producer was made in March 2012. Nowadays his tracks are heard in BBC Radio 1 broadcasts and are found in top-playlists of international radio stations on a regular basis.
Solid response to Lessovsky’s original productions and remixes is coming on a regular basis from the prominent names of the Deep/Tech House scene including Kolombo, Filthy Rich, Amine Edge, Special Case, S.K.A.M., Sasch BBC, Wildkats, Atapy, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Andre Crom, Andreas Hansson, Atapy, Betoko, Doctor Dru, Flash Brothers, Gabriel Sordo, Jody Wisternoff, The Mekanism and many other top-level players who play Lessovsky’s works in their DJ sets in clubs, on the radio and in podcasts.
As of early 2014, Oleg’s discography consists of over 30 releases.
3. “Defiance” by Tribal Warriors aka M.I.K.E. Push from the Defiance EP on Bonzai Progressive.
Tribal Warriors aka M.I.K.E. newest release, ‘Defiance’, settles into a smooth Tech ride as muted kicks are joined by cool stabs that ooze house flavours. The kicks beef up and bring that tech edge to the sound as crispy hats filter through beautifully. The multi layered bassline morphs its way through the sound with a raw energetic flow that really gets the track moving while sweeping FX fill the spaces. Superb stuff yet again and a tune that will turn a few heads no doubt.
4. “One Life” by Dapa Deep from Armada Deep House Selection, Vol. 6 on Armada Music Bundles.
Dj/Producer Duo from Lithuania.
Members: Darius Beinoravicius, born in 1986, and Paulius Bukauskas, born in 1990.
Different style dj’s started to colaborate as they felt their weakness for Deep sounds.
Darius was also known as melodic progressive trance music producer under the artist name: M&D Substance. Warmed up and shook hands with well known artists such as Cosmic Gate, Above & Beyond, Andy Moor, Sandy Riviera, John Digweed, Myon & Shane, etc. He started to produce his own sounds when he was 17 years old, so it’s not a new challenge for Darius.
Paulius was more into groovy house sounds and was a member of a dj team called “Soultime Dj’s”.
On one gig Darius and Paulius, playing back to back, improvised with different styles and found their own new taste in music, and they decided to create a new music project and work on it together. Dapa Deep is having it’s own unique sound, cause they don’t fall for one style. You can hear Deep House mixed with progressive house elements, some trancy pads or plucks.
“Imrpovising like a good chef in the kitchen by adding all kinds of spices” says Dapa Deep.
Nothing else is known about The Organic Institute at this time.

Gabriel Ananda was captivated by the sound of Classical music by the early age of 8. He was encouraged by his family to practice the cello, but it was through playing the guitar that fueled his motivation to continue to learn about music. The guitar became a useful tool to express his creativity, but Gabriel was not finished searching for his musical direction. In 1995 that changed. A DJ set by Sven Väth was the pivotal moment that ended Gabriel’s search to find his passion and two years later, the new producer celebrated his first release for the German label Hörspielmusik. He went on to release singles on Treibstoff, Trapez, Platzhirsch, and Karmarouge before producing what was for him, a life changing track.
His 2004 release of “Süssholz” went straight to the top of the German DJ charts, landing in the playlists of any well known DJ. It was followed by another “hit” in 2005 titled “Ihre persönliche Glücksmelodie”, and then “Doppelwhipper”, which topped the end of year charts in 2006 and placed Gabriel in the eyes and ears of an international audience, and quickly became one of the main contributors to the growing Techno scene of Cologne. He began playing for the most prestigious events on an international level, as a DJ, and a live act, using not only his own productions, but also self made MIDI controllers, showing his passion for all aspects of music, and the performance.
In 2008, Gabriel founded his own label, Basmati, as a place where he can release his own productions with complete artistic freedom, and by the end of 2011 Basmati celebrated its nine releases, eight of those from Gabriel himself. One of the most notable being the Live Series, which brings the energy of his live sets to the DJ, and includes the worldwide chart topper, “Hey Blop”.
Maceo Plex aka Maetrik aka Mariel ito.
Located deep within the circuitry of a mechanical alien host known as Maetrik you will find a complex web of synaptic dispersements resembling what could be called a soul. And this soul which drives it’s host and manipulates it’s every move is finally beginning to emerge. Its name is Maceo Plex. The emergence of such an entity has been the result of a need for feeling, a need for interplanetary funk. We as humans consider this need a feeling, a feeling rooted in emotion, and emotion being the very basis of humanity.
Maceo Plex is on a quest to fullfil his need to inject feeling and funk into the world, and he’s already proving to be quite productive. With deep and funky works of audible engineering for the label Crosstown Rebels in the form of a full length album titled “Life Index”, a night with Maceo Plex will be one of galactic proportions.
To explain the evolutionary process behind Maceo’s existance we must travel back to 1993, to the beginning of his creativity. At the start…Maceo was intrigued by a pair of circular shaped objects designed for holding discs created from vinyl that produced vibrations resulting in sound and music. Soon he began conjuring up mixxes of techno, electro, and house music that quickly gained him popularity within the early 90s rave culture. But in 1997, while Heavily influenced by the sounds of other modern funk theorists such as Model 500, Kenny Larkin, Idjut Boyz, Convextion, etc… Maceo began experimenting with hardware modules containing knobs and keys to form his early musical compositions. Seduced by the sounds of techno & electro, Maceo grew into a technologically advanced being later to be known by various names such as Mariel Ito or Maetrik.
After many years of prolific works on such labels as Treibstoff, Dumb Unit, Cocoon, Audiomatique, Modern Love, Mothership, to name a few…Maceo aka Maetrik travelled the world playing in some of the best clubs such as Rex, Cocoon, Fabric, Womb, etc… Now in 2010 Maceo has begun to strip back some of his robotic body armor known as Maetrik in order to expose a more musical and groove based side the world has not seen yet.
The profound change has taken Maceo Plex from the complex and dark life in America to his current homebase of Valencia, Spain. The sunny and relaxed atmosphere has been quite useful to Maceo in his lengthy inward journey that is very apparent in his music. After a much needed retreat into the funky sounds of Parliament Funkadelic, Moodymann, Atjazz, Isolee, and Luomo, Maceo has finally completed his transormation and is shining brighter than the star Sirius….and his newest musical output reflects his radiation in a variety of beautiful colors. In late 2010, Maceo’s single “Vibe Your Love” will finally be released on the very foward thinking label Crosstown Rebels and will include a hefty funk remix treatment by Zev of the Wolf & Lamb clang. Soon following will be the full length debut album aptly titled “Life Index” which chronicles Maceo’s life long transformation into the soulful ball of energy he is today.
Once experienced, the album will make it abundantly clear the level of versatility Maceo Plex posesses among his many auditory shells. And the world will understand Maceo’s pristine vision of house music from beyond.
3. “Dream Vision” by Heamy from Spacetime on Bad Taste Recordings.
Heamy Releases Pivotal Spacetime EP On Bad Taste Recordings
Posted: February 6th, 2015
New school neuro-god Dmitrii Mitrofanov Heamy unleashes an eight-track EP entitled Spacetime. The Russian-based producer known for his sharp productions skills is putting out what some are calling his biggest release to date, backed by the prestigious Bad Taste Recordings.
The collection of heady, technically-minded drum & bass explores all depths with the title track “Spacetime,” a pure roller that boasts busy percussion and chaotic leads. “Digital Mayhem,” a collaboration with the equally talented Russian producer Asphexia, starts with subtle atmospherics, then builds to a very tough beat and focused persistent synth.
“Vortex” packs a giant punch, with a raging crunchy drop and steady drum work, while “Fallback” carries a serious vibe with shuffled drums and neck-snapping bass lines. “Motion” has a daunting and twisting intro, then bursts with intense energy, perfect for peak time dancefloor destruction.
Rounding out the EP, “Little Empire” bubbles with emotion, a tearing lead, and expansive low frequency. Finally, “Dream Vision” goes deeper with moody melodics and piano riffs. A full-length mix of Spacetime is included with the EP. If you enjoy well-produced dancefloor D&B, Heamy is definitely one to keep your eye on in 2015.
4. “Little Empire” by Heamy from Spacetime on Bad Taste Recordings.
